ÓBOLO Chocolate is Chile´s premier bean-to-bar chocolate company. Since 2013, we handcraft small batches of award winning, quality chocolate. We are passionate about chocolate and committed to fairness, sustainability and minimal environmental impact.
The word ÓBOLO means a gift or a small contribution in Spanish. We at ÓBOLO are very grateful to everyone who supports us daily on this adventure: the cacao farmers, our local community, employees, clients, friends and family. ÓBOLO is our small gift back to the world; our way of saying thank you.
ÓBOLO Chocolate is in process of certification as a B-Corporation which means we meet the most rigorous standards of social and environmental performance, accountability and transparency.
FROM BEAN TO BAR
Making ÓBOLO bean-to-bar starts by sharing time, knowledge and experiences in the Amazon rainforest with the cacao farmers. The farmers are much more than suppliers of our raw materials. They are the protectors of the forest and its biodiversity. They are our friends and partners, with whom we share common values of quality, fairness and sustainability.
After selecting and importing the best cocoa beans, in our workshop we toasted, peel, winnow, grid, temper and mold them into chocolate bars, in order to capture and highlight the unique natural flavors and aromas, or terroir, of the cocoa beans.

All of our bars are made with certified organic cocoa beans and certified organic unrefined cane sugar.
